Ive fallen so far from grace,
Ive fallen into this dark and lonley place.
only wanting to be loved by you,
this emptyness is nothing new.

Youve been my best friend for years,
and for you Ive shed so many tears.
only hoping for a second chance,
wishing I was worth a second glance.

But you look down on me.
you see my touch as such a dirty thing.
you leave me cold, lost and alone.
Never knowing how much your rejection can sting.
never looking at anything positive that could be.
It seems theres no getting past your heart of stone.

i can relate. recently broke up with my best friend whom i had been dating for quite some time (this was our 2nd go around). and now we're not even on speaking terms. he thinks of me as a whore, and i think he's a douche. works out well but sucks because we both realize that the only way we'll be able to get over eachother is by pretending to hate one another.

sorry for the story hour, but felt like i needed to explain?

sure you don't care. but i needed to get it out.

the poem rocks. and made me cry a little.

Thanks, maybe in time you two will find your way back to each other. It sucks when stuff like this happens with your best friend because you lose your sholder to cry on.

exactly! where do you go when the one person you've depended on for so long turns out to be the most painful loss ever? it sucks b/c he knows everything about me and understands like no one else and now i can't stand the sight of him. but i'll be fine! i needed to learn to stand on my own anyway.
